Bottom Ten Posts of 2010

I started this blog in August of 2010 and it took a little while before anyone started reading it. I’m not sure if anyone’s reading it now, to be honest, but I know that things really picked up in December with my Christmas posts.

Here are my Bottom Ten Posts of 2010 that received the least hits. Most of these are earlier on when I had no readers. No readers, no hits. I can’t say that these are the most terribly exciting posts that I’ve ever written, that probably has something to do with it too. So enjoy these posts, or not…nobody else did.

10. Wordful Wednesday: The Flight of the Midnight Moth
9. 10 Days of Christmas PJs! Day 9: 2009
8. 10 Days of Christmas PJs! Day 10: 2010 Part 1
7. Pointless Tutorials: How to build a jigsaw puzzle
6. Jenn’s 6th Birthday Party 1985
5. Jenn’s 26th Birthday 2005
4 Days of Christmas PJs! Day 3: 2003
3. Large Marge Update 1
2. The Festival Of Festivals! 10/09/2010 The Apple Castle and Volant
1. A “Puzzling” Birthday Tradition

(I excluded Wordless Wednesdays from my Bottom Posts list as I’ll be doing a recap of them this Wednesday.)

Top 10 Posts of 2010

It’s 2011 and so my first “year” of blogging has come to an end.
(I started the blog in August…so it hasn’t been a full year yet)
On Christmas Eve my blog reached a total of 10,000 hits…woohoo!

Here are my Top 10 Most Popular Posts of 2010:

10. Dear Santa: Part 2 Mailing a Letter to Santa
9. 10 Ways to Shake Up Your Christmas Pajamas Tradition
8. Dear Santa: Part 1 Writing a letter to Santa
7. Free Phone Calls from Santa Claus
6. Open House: Storage
5. Dear Santa: Part 3 Paper for Writing a Letter to Santa
4. Open House: Master Bedroom
3. Open House: Laundry Room
2. Open House: Adaline’s Nursery
1. Adaline’s 1st Birthday Party – Pink and Green Polka Dots and Cupcakes

The Dear Santa posts did rather well…and I never even got around to finishing the series (bad, Jenn…bad!). I guess this just means I’ll have some material for a new Dear Santa series in 2011. Adaline’s birthday party was the whole reason why I started the blog and no other post has been able to touch it in terms of hits. I wonder if her 2nd birthday party in August will give it a run for its money. Only 8 more months until we find out 😉

I’ve included some “bonus” posts because my Open House series was only popular because I linked up to the 4 Moms, otherwise I wouldn’t have gotten so much traffic. So here are the next 4 most popular posts (and another bonus since one of them included my SITS feature day post).

10. Uncle Ugly’s Christmas Sweater Jamboree
9. My letter to Santa 1984
8. Celebrating 30 years in 30 days
7. Dear Santa: Part 4 Emailing a Letter to Santa
6. SITStah’s…Stop here first!

Hopefully in 2011 my Top Ten will include some real posts instead of just “here’s some pictures of my house”. We’ll see.
Next week I’ll post my Top Ten Least Popular Posts because, well, everyone wants to read something that no one else bothered to read, right?! Maybe not.

What was your favorite Coolest Family on the Block blog post this year?
Let me know in the comments 🙂

Have a Happy New Year!

Don’t forget to vote for Adaline in the Spooked by Santa Photo Contest everyday until 01/09/2011! Thanks!
